          Muncie-Evelyn Waters, 82, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 7, 2012, at the Liberty Village Health Care Center following an extended illness. She was born on January 23, 1930 in Byrdstown, Tennessee, the daughter of Reef and Velva (Johnson) Pritchard.
          Evelyn married the love of her life Max E. Waters on December 17, 1953 in Muncie and he preceded her in death on November 23, 1995. Mrs. Waters had worked in the Furniture industry as a sales person for 47 years for several area furniture stores, most recently for the Muncie Furniture Outlet Store for 17 years, where she was working as recently as December of 2011. She was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 33 Auxiliary and the Max “Buss” Waters American Legion Post # 327 Auxiliary.
          Surviving are three daughters, Sandy Hoffman (husband-David), Barbara Lowrey (husband-Donald), both of Muncie and Cathy Cook, Las Vegas, Nevada; 8 grandchildren; 16 ½  great grandchildren; 6 great, great grandchildren; two nieces, Diana Stum (husband-Jim), Anderson and Anita Bryan (husband-Jim), Gaston; two nephews, Roger Bilbrey (wife-Janice), Gaston and Robert Bilbrey, Upland.
          Besides her husband of 42 years Max, she was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers and sisters.
          Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012, 11:00 A.M. at the Tomlinson Cemetery with Pastor Paul Reeder officiating. Parson Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements
          Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Saturday, March 10, 2012, from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M.
          Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services of East Central (Little Red Door), 2311 W. Jackson St.; Muncie, IN 47303.
