          Yorktown-Judy E. Kerrigan, 70, passed away Saturday morning, July 7, 2012, at the Waters of Yorktown Health Care Center following an extended illness.  She was born on, May 17, 1942, in Muncie, the daughter of William and Gwendolyn (Jones) Chambers.

          Judy attended Muncie City Schools and graduated from Amber’s Beauty School in 1963.  She then married the love of her life, Patrick Bernard Kerrigan Sr. in 1969 in Muncie and he preceded her in death in 1992.  Mrs. Kerrigan had bar tended for several establishments around the area, most recently the Veterans of Foreign War Post# 651.    She was a member of the VFW Post #651 Ladies Auxiliary and The Body of Christ Church.  Mrs. Kerrigan enjoyed playing Bingo, singing and dancing years ago.

          Survivors include her son, Michael Kerrigan (Companion-Melanie Sellers), Muncie; one stepson, John Kerrigan, Muncie; two step daughters, Margaret Adams (husband-Ron), and Jane Ashcraft , both of Muncie; two special grand daughters, Betsy Ricks, and Rena Coonce (husband-Bobby), both of Muncie; a special daughter, Francine Jones (husband-Dean), Muncie; one sister, Shirley Writtenhouse, Muncie; a niece, Malinda Coats, Muncie; a whole host of several other grandchildren.

          Besides her husband of 23 years, Patrick, she is preceded in death by her parents, one step son, Patrick Kerrigan Jr., one sister, Mary Blair; two brothers, Albert  Montgomery and Tillford Jones.

          Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, 11:00 A.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Peggy Whited officiating.  Burial will follow in the Tomlinson Cemetery.

          Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday, July 11, 2012.

          Memorial contributions may be made to Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
