Muncie – Charles Howard, 16, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Indiana University North Medical Center in Carmel.

Charles was born in Muncie on March 15, 1996, the son of Richard W. and Sabrina (Lester) Howard, and was a student at Southside High School.

Charles loved his dog, Jake, enjoyed hanging out with friends, and listening to music.

Survivors include his mother, Sabrina Howard; his father, Richard W. Howard; a sister, Sierra Howard; maternal grandparents, Charles and Shirley Lester; paternal grandparents, Richard and Joyce Howard; a paternal great-grandmother, Norma Howard; his best friends Eddie Stettler, Dylan Smith, and Kahlea Hayden; his dog Jake; his only unborn nephew, Thomas Edward Stettler Jr., an aunt Jackie Cash, an uncle Albert Kitchen; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Elsie Lester.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012, at Parson Mortuary with Brother William Harty officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Friends may call at Parson Mortuary one hour prior to time of service on Monday.
