Robert (Bob) L. Kuhns, 60, passed away at I.U.HealthBallMemorialHospital on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 after a brief illness.
Bob was born on July 27, 1952, at BallMemorialHospital and lived most of his life in Muncie. He attended Muncie Community Schools. Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Navy where he trained as a medic. He earned certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse through IvyTechCommunity College. Bob has worked at the Delaware County Health Department, New CastleMemorialHospital and several local nursing homes. Bob was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Forty and Eight. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter.
Bob is survived by his mother, Charlotte (Ford) Kuhns and was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Kuhns. Bob is survived by his brother, Charles (wife, Elizabeth) Kuhns, and nieces, Megan (husband, Evan) Lewis and Bridget Kuhns. He is also survived by aunts MildredLake and Edna Showalter and many cousins.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, at Gardens of Memory with Pastor Jeff Veatch officiating. Military rites will be performed by the Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard following the service.
