Muncie – Judith L. Corya, 72, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012, at her residence following an extended illness.
Judith was born in Muncie on April 6, 1940, the daughter of Ernest and Esther (Johnson) Borror, and was a graduate of Waipahu High School in Hawaii.
Mrs. Corya worked in finance for many years; her last position was in Management for General Finance Company. She was a former member of the Lioness Club of Yorktown.
Survivors include her husband, William “Bill” Corya, Yorktown; two sons, Jerry Corya, Byrdstown, Tennessee, and Michael Corya, (fiancé-Debbie Williams), Yorktown; a daughter, Connie Alderman, (fiancée-Robert Walker), Anderson; ten grandchildren, Schele Gentry, Jen Sprite, Lindsay Walker, Tara Ayers, Shannon Borloff, William, Jerry Allen, Zach, Samantha, and McKenzie Corya; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Terry Lynn Korhorn.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012, at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at Parson Mortuary one hour prior to time of service on Monday.
