Muncie – Reba Hickey, 93, entered heavens gates on Monday, October 8, 2012, at Bethel Pointe Specialty Hospital with her family at her side.
Reba was born in Cookeville, Tennessee on November 5, 1918, the daughter of Samuel and Almeda Dunn, and attended Tennessee Schools.
Mrs. Hickey worked for over fifteen years in the Housekeeping Department at Ball State University until her retirement. She enjoyed fishing and camping, but above all she loved attending True Light Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday School Teacher.
Survivors include her three children, Aubrey Hickey Jr., (wife-Carol), Tennessee, Mildred King, (husband-Ernest), Muncie, and Lewellen Carter, (husband-James), Muncie; eleven grandchildren, Stephen Hickey, (wife-Babes), Nebraska, Dewane Hickey, (wife-Diana), Tennessee, Timothy Hickey, Tennessee, Rory Hickey, (wife-Jodi), Muncie, Lisha Abbott, (husband-Rick Crose), Tennessee, Lucinda Gray, (husband-Dwyane), Tennessee, Ellen Underhill, Tennessee, Debbie Adams, (husband-Mike), Louisiana, Becky Hawkins, Anderson, Vicky Owens, (husband-Bucky), Muncie, and Robert Carter, Yorktown; several great and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Toye and Virgil Dunn; and two sisters, Linnie Gambrell, and Lena Mooneyhan.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at Parson Mortuary from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012, or one hour prior to time of service on Thursday.
