Elsie R. Swoape, 86, of Muncie passed away Sunday morning at Liberty Village
after an extended illness. She was born September 1, 1926 in White County, Tennessee to Andrew Jackson and Thene (Wilson) Witt. She was a homemaker.
Elsie is survived by her two daughters Phyllis Turner (husband-Carroll); Parker City, Pamela Kelley (husband-Ted); Muncie, a sister Alene Rigsby; Tennessee, four grandchildren Tonya Johnston (husband-Matt); Eaton, Philip Turner (wife-Miriam; New Castle, Patrick Kelley (wife-DeLisa); Yorktown, Rebecca Kelley; Muncie, three great-grandchildren Erin and Emmalee Kelley and Nick Johnston.
Elsie was preceded in death by her loving husband Yancey E. Swoape, her parents and twin brother Woodrow Witt.
There will be no calling or services. Private Family burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Parson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
