Muncie – Rev. Larry L. Steed, 67, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday November 25, 2012, at Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness.
            He was born in Muncie December 31, 1944, the son of Russell and Margaret (McFarland) Steed and graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1963.
            Larry was a member of Industry United Methodist Church for over 50 years, former member of Wilbur Full Masonic Lodge, was an ordained minister of the United Methodist Faith. He was a member of the Muncie Police Reserves. Larry retired in 1999 from Maxon Corp. after 30 plus years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years Carolyn; three sons, David Steed, (wife-Carla), Muncie, Christopher Steed, (wife-Alisha) Greenfield and Steven Steed, (wife-Heather), Muncie; one brother, Russell Steed, (wife-Cheryl), Muncie; ten grandchildren; four nieces and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 29, 2012, at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Denny Helton officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Cemetery.
Family and friends may call Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Parson Mortuary from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. or one hour prior to services on Thursday.
