Donald Woodrow "Danny" Hemmings

Donald “Danny” Hemmings, 75 of Muncie, Indiana fell asleep on April 2, 2024, and awaits the return of his lord and savior, Jesus Christ.  He was born in Jamaica, the son of Francis Hemmings, his mother.

Danny’s early years were in Panama, and later Manhattan, New York.  He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1970 and served until 1975.  He was trained in the Air Force as an electrician, which became his lifelong career (over forty years).  Following his military service, Mr. Hemmings earned his Associate Degree in Electrical Studies at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida.  He went on to work with various commercial electrical contracting companies across the USA until finishing his career with Ball State University as a Master Electrician in the residence hall maintenance department from 2007 until 2022.

Danny participated in and served his beloved home church ministry, The Way International, for over thirty years.  The Way International is a non-denominational Biblical research, teaching, and home fellowship ministry, with works in over thirty countries.  Danny graciously offered his own home to host and coordinate home fellowship meetings over the past twenty-plus years.

Survivors include his children Valencia Hemmings, Los Angeles, California; Mateo Hemmings, Phoenix, Arizona; and his stepson, Barryon Starks, and family, San Diego, California. Danny is also survived by a host of his close friends and admirers, especially by his church family believers of The Way.

Cremation has been chosen with a private interment at the Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana at a later date.  Parson Mortuary Cremation Center is entrusted with these arrangements.
