Shirley “Diane” Killian, 80, passed away at her Muncie residence on April 3, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Diane was born on September 19, 1943, in South Boston, Virginia the daughter of Kenneth and Ruby McKee.
Diane attended local schools before working for the Gibraltar Trade Center in Taylor, Michigan as a toll booth attendant. This was the perfect job for Diane as she was a people-centered person who enjoyed life and loved every day. She was an avid Detroit Redwings fan who was a selfless, kind soul, who enjoyed camping and loved to play scratch-off lottery tickets. Perhaps Diane’s biggest joy was her family, including her son, Kenneth, and her daughter, Lori. She had a special place in her heart for her great-grandchildren, so much so that she moved from Michigan to Muncie to help take care of them, they were the joy of her life.
Diane leaves behind her daughter, Lori Morrow (Terry), a son, Kenneth Killian, granddaughter Kendra Thomas, step-grandchildren Bonnie Eldridge and Natalie Woodward, and great-grandchildren, Lyric, Monroe, and Darrin. In addition, she is survived by her brother Raymond McKee (Jama), a special niece Debbie Burgett, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Ruth Ann Roberts and Kenneth McKee, and her “Dad” Ralph Niggemeyer.
Per Diane’s wishes, Parson Mortuary is handling her cremation, and there will be no formal services.
