Alma ‘Sue’ Watters

Alma Sue Watters, 71, passed away peacefully into her heavenly home, March 3, 2018 after a valiant battle with a long illness. After 25 years, she was finally reunited with the love of her life.

She was born April 29th, 1946, to the late Gladys (Corder) McDonald and Estle Foster, in Wayne County, Kentucky.  Sue married the love of her life, Wilburn M. Watters, on July 24th 1965. They were married 28 years before the Lord called him home. She retired from Jarden Corp. after many years of service. She loved being outdoors, gardening, and had a passion for quilting. Sue’s pride and joys included her 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren whose happiness was hers. She was a member of the Eastern Star Order 104 and Gloryland United Baptist Church.

Sue was very blessed with a large, loving family who will greatly miss her. Four children: Janie (Roger) Wells, Devona (Larry) Coffey, Amanda (Kelly) Stites, and Rodney (Wende) Watters. Eleven grandchildren; Jacob, Kylie, Kody, Brooklynn, Kayleigh, Arian, Tori, Adisyn, Morgan, Aidyn, and Masen. Six great-grandbabies; Bentley, Korbyn, Lilah, Emma, Avington, Chandler and one new addition due March 2018, one sister, Mary Jo, two brothers, Dan and Wayne. Sue also left behind very special friends Billy Jean and Tom Heatherly and Rick and Joanie Gates.

Sue went home to accompany the family that preceded her: Her soulmate, Wilburn M. Watters, mother Gladys Mcdonald, father Estle Foster, step-mother Alice Foster, two brothers Roger and Dwight Foster, and one sister Barbara Cox.

Services will be held at Parson Mortuary at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 with Bruce Waters officiating.  Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery.

Calling will be at the mortuary from 11:00 a.m. on Thursday until the time of service.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Indiana Home Care and Compassus Hospice, for the care and comfort they provided.
