Doyle Dodson

Cookeville, TN- Doyle E. Dodson, 82, passed away peacefully Saturday March 4,2017 at his home in Cookeville, Tn. He was born on March 28, 1934 in Byrdstown, Tennessee the son of Orville and Pearl (McDonald) Dodson.

After schooling, Doyle became a truck driver for the Teamsters. He spent 30 years driving trucks until his retirement. Doyle enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, hunting, woodworking and family history.

Left to mourn the loss of Doyle are his sister Willa Boaz, sons Steve (Lynn wife) Dodson, Dan (Teresa Wife), 6 Maternal grandchildren, Darion, Sydney, Bradon, Levi, Matrix, and Legacy. 1 adopted granddaughter Faith. Two step grandchildren Remington and Maverick.

Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and the love of his life wife Charlotte Patricia Dodson. Doyle and Pat were married for 47 years before her passing and they enjoyed traveling, crafts and spending time together.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M Friday March 10, 2017 at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Steve Graves officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may call on Thursday March 9, 2017 from 3:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M at Parson Mortuary and from 9:00 A.M until service time Friday.
