Muncie-Jimmie G. Wise, 66, passed away Friday afternoon, October 6, 2017, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following a extended illness. He was born on October 8, 1950, in Frankfort, Kentucky , the son of Duard Chester and Betty (Burden) Wise.
Mr. Wise is a 1968 graduate of Muncie Central High School and later enlisted in the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War. Jimmie had worked for the Laborers Local # 1112 in construction and later as a Field Representative for 30 years prior to his retirement . He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post #15015 and enjoyed fishing and listening to rock and moody blues music.
Survivors include his sister, Norma Black (husband-J.B.), Albany; two nephews, Robert M. Davis (wife-Julia), and Rodney Markwell (wife-Stacy), both of Muncie; one niece, Amber Raines (husband-Mike), Sugar Hill Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bradley Wise in 1984.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, 2:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Mike Osborn officiating. Burial will follow at the Beech Grove Cemetery. Military honors will be rendered by the Delaware County Honor Guard.
Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
