Luella J. "Lou" (Carman) Driskill

                Muncie-Luella J. “Lou” Driskill, 62, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.  She was born on, December 30, 1954, in Muncie, the daughter of James R. and Esther (Mitchell) Carman, Sr.       

                Luella is a 1973 graduate of Muncie Southside High School and later attended IVY Technical College majoring in nursing.  Ms. Driskill was currently working for Macs restaurant in Muncie in the kitchen primarily as the gravy maker.   She had served in the Muncie area as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 20years at various locations.  Luella had been a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 19 for several years and collected Dragons, Angels and baskets.  It was said “that she was a very earthy type of an individual loving all things in nature.”

                She is survived by one daughter, Kim Driskill (fiancé-Michael Ragan II), New Castle; two sons, Joe Driskill (companion-Ashley Dock) and Paul Driskill, both of New Castle; eight grandchildren; her mother, Esther Carman, Muncie; two sisters, Lynda Lee Chamness (husband-Eric), Middletown and Alaine Kay Carman, Muncie; one brother, James Richard Carman, Jr. (wife-Jennifer), Virginia; A very special Aunt and uncle, Bert and Shelley Mitchell, Muncie; several nieces and nephews.

                She is preceded in death by one daughter, Rebekah Driskill in 1999; her father, James Carman, Sr.; one brother-in-law, Perry Welch.

                A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, 4:00 P.M.  Cremation has taken place.  Parson Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.

                Friends may assemble at the Parson Mortuary at 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.
