Mary R. "Honey Bun" (White) Ridge

                Muncie-Mary R. “Honey Bun” Ridge, 66, passed away late Monday evening, August 21, 2017, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  She was born on July 12, 1951, in Muncie, the daughter of George and Irene (Flatter) White.

                Mary was a 1969 graduate of Muncie Southside High School.  On May 10, 1969 Mary married the love of her life, Wilbur Ridge and he survives.  Mrs. Ridge had been a realtor having served the Tom Bartlett Auctioneers for 25 years later working for Kinder Reality.  She had volunteered at the Knights of Columbus Hall during their Bingo nights for 25 years, sold fireworks for 45 years, had clerked and cashiered for both the Bartlett Auctions and Ross Supermarkets.  Some of her interests included chartering bus trips to the casinos, plane trips to Las Vegas, collecting antiques and going to flee markets.  Mrs. Ridge enjoyed traveling with Wilbur and going to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  She had been a member of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine several years ago and attended the True Light Baptist Church but, mostly she treasured family times with her children and grandchildren.  It was said that she was a “Professional Mom.”

                Besides her husband of 48 years, Wilbur, she is survived by, two daughters, Lisa Webb (husband-Shawn), Parker City and Angie Hedman (husband-Ray), Muncie; two sons, Troy Ridge (companion-Tamara), Greentown and Darren Ridge (wife-Tiffany), Hagerstown; nine grandchildren, Clint, Colton, Cory, Dilan, Kortney, Gavin, Hannah, Ellie, and Paul; one sister, Sandy Dobbs, Parker City; several nieces and nephews.

                She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother-in-law, Ovel Dobbs.

                Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating.  Burial will follow at the Beech Grove Cemetery.

                Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Thursday, August 24, 2017, from 11:00 A.M. until service time.
