Velma Gregory

Muncie- Velma Gregory, 93, passed away on Saturday April 8, 2017 at Liberty Village Nursing Home. She was born on February 18, 1924, the daughter of Marion and Nancy Bell.

Velma enjoyed a simple life as a homemaker who raised three daughters and loved to cook. She was a member at Southern United Baptist Church and attended Memorial Baptist Church later in her life.

Left to mourn the loss of Velma are her three daughters Virginia (Kenneth) Paschall Muncie, Sharon (Leroy) Hitchens, Muncie and Carolyn (Ronald) Dalton, Muncie, two brothers Doyle and Vernon Bell, a sister Lois Sewell, a half-brother Andrew Phipps, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Velma was preceded in death by her Parents, two husbands Typherd Gregory and G. Raymond Gregory, two infant daughters Ruby and Sheila Gregory, a brother Arnold Bell and four sisters Beulah Edwards, Clona Black, Sylvia Winchester and Kay Crisp.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at 1:00 P.M at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Ron Black officiating. Burial to follow at Elm Ridge Cemetery.  Friends may call from 11:00 A.M until service time on Wednesday.
