AMARYLLIS NANCY (TERRY) SEWELL

Muncie- Amaryllis N. “Ril” Sewell, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday June 8, 2018 at Parker Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parker City Indiana. She was born to Gayson and Elfie (Garrett) Terry on January 5, 1929 in Muncie Indiana.

Amaryllis was a member of Gloryland United Baptist Church. Before that she was a member of the Eaton Avenue Baptist Church, which is now known as Old Town Hill. She was a member of the Borg Warner Sympathy Club. Amaryllis was a disciplinarian, loved doing crafts, crocheting and her family. She could do everything she wanted to do including; fishing, she loved gardening and snapping beans to the Young and the Restless, Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune and Let’s Make a Deal, television shows. She collected Indians and Angels.

Besides her husband of 70 years, Rev. Alvis Sewell, Amaryllis is survived by her, two sons; John Sewell (Kathy) Hartford City, Rick Sewell (Cathy) of Leesburg, a sister Gladys Goad (Bill)of Selma, eight grandchildren; Elizabeth, Christopher, Chad, Adam, Carl, Mindy, Sarah and Samantha and several great grandchildren.

Amaryllis is preceded in death by her son Larry Allen Sewell 2010, her parents, a granddaughter Cindy Jo 1980, 5 siblings; Imogene Peters, Ronald Terry, Rainford Terry, Eloise Walls, Gayson Lee Terry.

A funeral service for Amaryllis will be held on Tuesday June 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Parson Mortuary with Revs John Sewell and Carl Goad officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie. Friends may call on Monday June 11, 2018 from 5-8 and Tuesday June 12 from 12 PM until the time off service.
