Indianapolis-Charles L. Plumb, 60, passed away early Saturday morning, December 8, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born on August 21, 1958 in Muncie, the son of William Charles Plumb and Gloria Dean King.
Charles was a 1976 graduate of Muncie Central High School. Following graduation, Mr. Plumb was enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served and later received an Associate of Science Degree from Ball State University. Mr. Plumb became a truck driver and brick mason for several years prior to his disability. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast enjoying everything about Harley-Davidson. He also enjoyed watching crime shows on the television; especially, Criminal Minds and Law and Order SVU. Mr. Plumb thought of himself as an armchair Detective. Charles cherished his time with family and friends the most.
Survivors include, two daughters, Shawn Michelle Cline (Billy), Muncie and Samantha JoAnn Plumb (boyfriend- Brian Smith), Indianapolis; one grandson, Elijah Michael Davis, Muncie; one sister, Kippy Caruthers (companion-Dan), Muncie; one brother, Brian McDonald, Yorktown; special aunts, Shirley Jo Romesburg, Muncie and Linda Sue Ostrum, Greenfield; his companion, Ruby Goode, Indianapolis; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Elaina Trussell; a stillborn son, Chuckie Plumb; Aunt, Patricia Kay Stewart.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Thursday, December 20, 2018, from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Military Honors to follow rendered by the Delaware County Honor Guard.
