Yorktown: Charles ”Ned” Reynolds, Age 66, of Yorktown passed away at his home August 21, 2018 surrounded by his loving family, and his beloved wife of 46 years Kathy. Ned, as he was affectionately called was born in Muncie, Indiana to Robert and Nancy (Hofher) Reynolds. He graduated from Yorktown High School as a Charter Member Class of 1970, where he played basketball, football and ran track.
In 1972, he married Kathy Main and together they had three sons: Derek, deceased, Benjamin, (wife Glenda) of Muncie, and Andy (wife Michelle) of Yorktown. His sons meant the world to him, his best buddies. The greatest joy of Ned’s life were his granddaughters Tiera, Kaylee and Emma. Ned is also survived by his parents; Bob and Nancy; two sisters; Jennifer (husband Gary) Scott of Bradenton, Fl. Jeanine (husband Mike) Green of Kansas City, KS; as well many nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Ned and so many devoted and loving cousins. Ned will be missed by his special furry companions; Shivers, Harley and KTE.
Ned retired from General Motors- Delco Remy and then began his second career rebuilding cars and just hanging out with his family. He loved spending his winters in Florida, enjoying the beach, the sunshine, and caring for his parents. He loved NASCAR and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He was a wonderful son, husband, father, cousin, brother and Papaw. He will be greatly missed but forever remembered. We will miss you forever and your zest for living.
