Charlotte Parks Obituary

Muncie-Charlotte Joan Parks, 84, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born on October 12, 1933, in Fort Recovery, Ohio, the daughter of David Carl and Lula Erma (Arnold) Garringer.

Charlotte is a 1951 graduate of Fort Recovery High School and later married the love of her life Kenneth Jean Parks, in 1953 and he preceded her in death o January 12, 1990. Mrs. Parks worked for the Ball Memorial Hospital in the Laundry and Surgical materials departments for 19 years prior to her retirement in 1995. She was a past member of the Mayfield Church of the Nazarene and currently attends the Muncie First Church of the Nazarene and is a member of the sympathy club of the WGE Credit Union. Charlotte enjoyed traveling and camping with her family, anything outdoors, crocheting and reading.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Jean Wilkinson (husband-Ronald), Muncie and Linda Parks Allred (husband-Steve), Selma; six grandchildren, Bethani Stellwag, Jerry Schroeder Brent Allred, Kim Allred, Maria Hurst, Scott Wilkinson; twelve great grandchildren; one sister, Esther Gierhart.

Besides her husband of 37 years, Kenneth, she is preceded in death by her parents; six siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 1, 2018, 10:00 A.M., at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Mark Dill officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie.

Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Saturday September 1, 2018, from 9:00 A.M. until service time.
