Ella Ruth (Hinds) Piercy-Adams

                Muncie- Ella Ruth Piercy-Adams, 83, passed away late Friday evening, July 7, 2017, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  She was born on October 12, 1933, in Jamestown, Tennessee the daughter of Marion and Zora (Beaty) Hinds.

                Ella had out lived two husbands, Losson Piercy and Earl Adams.  Mrs. Adams had been a homemaker the majority of her working life and later had served the Albany Health and Rehabilitation Center as a Nurse’s Aide and also had worked in several restaurants in the Muncie area as a Cook.  She was a member of the Westside United Baptist Church and enjoyed growing flowers but, mostly being with her children and grandchildren were very precious times to her.

                She is survived by five daughters, Robin Haskins, Vonnie Sharon Foster and Velda Jean Blevins (husband- William Doyal), all of Muncie, Janie Ball, Parker City and Jo Goodpastor Husband-Ty), Matthews; one son, one son, Kenny Robert Piercy (wife-Tonia), Muncie; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Bessie Matthews, Byrdstown, Tennessee, Bonnie Hays (husband-Houston), Jamestown, Tennessee and Fanny Greer, Livingston, Tennessee; one step sister, Linda, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.

                Besides her two husband, Losson and Earl, she is preceded in death by two children, Donnie Lee Piercy in 1956 and Debra Kay Piercy in 1964; son-in-law, Cary Dwight Foster in 2016;  her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

                Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Larry Waters officiating.  Burial will follow at the Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.
