Ellis Dewayne Stinson

Muncie- Ellis Dewayne Stinson, 63, passed away unexpectantly at his home Wednesday, March 6, 2019 following an extended illness.  He was born on December 2, 1955 in Winchester, the son of James Franklin and Virginia (Staggs) Riley-Stinson.

Mr. Stinson had worked for his parent’s auto body shop and later as a diesel mechanic before his disability.  He had married Connie (Smith) Stinson and she survives.   Dewayne as he was known by his family and friends, enjoyed cook outs, camping traveling and in general, spending time with the ones he loved.

Besides his wife of 24 years, Connie, he is survived by two daughters, Tina L. Stinson-Strong (husband-Kevin) and Emma Jane Thornbury (husband-Brian); two sons, Ronnie Clark and Mark Allen Stinson; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his mother, Virginia Riley- Stinson; several half siblings.

He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Dewayne Stinson-Riley; father, James F. Stinson; step father, Irttes (Joe) Riley; one sister, Angela Sue Stinson; one brother, Alvin Franklin Stinson; step brother, Charles Riley.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00P.M. Monday, March 11, 2019 at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Linda McBride officiating. Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Monday March 11, 2019 from 12:00 P.M. until service time.
