Eugene "Gene" P. Huddleston

Muncie-Eugene “Gene” P. Huddleston, 87, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 13, 2018, at the Morrison Woods Health Care Center following an extended illness.  He was born on June 5, 1931, in Muncie the son of John P. and Chattie (Rich) Huddleston.

Eugene is a 1949 graduate of Muncie Central High School and later married the love of his life Barbara (Hillard) Huddleston on July 30, 1949 and she preceded him in death in 2010.  Mr. Huddleston had Owned and operated the Huddleston Produce market for over 30 years prior to his retirement in 2008. He enjoyed hunting Pheasants with his brother and son.  Family activities wee always very precious to him!

 He is survived by one daughter, Suzanne Preston (husband-Dennis), Selma; seven grandchildren, Kristi, Randall, Julie, Joshua, Sarah, Rachel and Hannah; eight great grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Huddleston (wife-Faye), Yorktown, William Huddleston (wife-Gail), Newtonville, Massachusetts and John Huddleston (wife-Beth), Cranbury Township, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews

Besides his wife of 61 years, Barbara, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Vicki Huddleston in 2018; one son, Robert Huddleston in 2016; his parents and one sister, Lauren 2016.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December18, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Rev. Randy Perry will be officiating.  Burial will follow at the Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, from 12:00 P.M. until service time.
