Evelyn Ann (Osterman) Rector

Evelyn Ann (Osterman) Rector, 88, passed away Wednesday September 26,2018, at Liberty Village Nursing Home after a long illness.

She was born in Seymour, IN and moved to Muncie where she met and married her late husband Chadd L. Rector Jr. They were married for 51 years. The daughter of William and Bertha Osterman.

Evelyn was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, she loved raising flowers and was a long-time member of the Iris Growers of East Central Indiana.

She is survived by her two daughters: Jacqueline E. Trusedell of Muncie, Delores “Lori” Trent (Husband Terry) of Indianapolis, a brother Don Osterman (Wife Sue) of Muncie, 8 grandchildren: Shauna Hidy (Tyler), Brandon Trusedell, Ashley Trusedell, Lacey Gibbs (Clint), Kristin Garcia, Chanda Miles (Dennis) Darin Maze (Jennifer), Andy Maze (Teresa), 15 great grandchildren: Corbin Sanders, Kaycee Short,  Oliver Maze, Bailey Miles, Justin, Emily, Avery, Trent, Franklin, Layla and Maze, Chadd Trusedell, Katherin Weeks, Tegan, Garrett and Gracie Hidy, several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Chadd Rector.

A funeral service for Evelyn will be held at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 610 North reserve Street, Muncie Indiana at 1:00 pm on Monday October 1, 2018 with Pastor Daniel Mackey officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 noon, until the time of service on Monday.
