Gladys L. (Koontz) Mariage

Yorktown – Gladys L. Mariage, 85, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Waters of Yorktown following an extended illness.

Gladys was born in Illinois on March 26, 1927, the daughter of John and Lenore Koontz, and attended Illinois Schools.

Mrs. Mariage attended Morningside United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Gary Mariage, (wife-Jane), Ft. Wayne; a daughter, Dawn Pierce, Muncie; a sister, Helen Johnson, Danville, Illinois; four grandchildren, Barry Mariage, (wife-Erika), Warsaw, Lisa Covey, (husband-Dean), Ft. Wayne; Aimee Miller, (companion-Chris Boggs), Muncie, and James Parker, Indianapolis; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 25 years, James E. Mariage; a sister, Marion Todd, and two brothers, Jessie and John Koontz.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at Houghton-Leisure Funeral Home in Georgetown, Illinois. Burial will follow in Georgetown Cemetery. Friends may call at Parson Mortuary Sunday, December 2, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. or at Houghton-Leisure Funeral Home on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and one hour prior to time of service on Tuesday.
