Jack L. Goen

Jack L. Goen, 90, passed away Saturday November 16, 2019 at home with his family by his side. He was born on May 30 1929 to Alice (Farrell) and C. T. Goen in Muncie. Spending his life in this area, he retired from the Muncie Fire department after 22 years of service. Jack was a long time high school basketball official and worked for several business in retirement including Olinger Distribution and Gordon's Flowers. Jack married his true love Patricia Kiplinger on April 18, 1958 and they raised five children together. Jack enjoyed golfing and all things outdoors camping with his family.

Surviving Jack are daughters; Kelli Goen, Carol (Shuny) Legeza, Karen (Scott) Armacost, sons; Jack Goen II, Steve (Joella) Goen, 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Jack’s wife Patricia, parents and grandson Tyler preceded him in passing.

Funeral services are Thursday November 21, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Parson Mortuary 801 West Adams Street, Muncie with Pastor John Hackney officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
