Joyce Marie Huxhold

Indianapolis-Joyce Marie Huxhold, 79, passed away, early Monday morning, at the St. Vincent’s Hospital following a brief illness.  She was born on January 24, 1939 in Franklin, the daughter of Earl C. Mann and Marie (Bowman) Mann Morrow.

Joyce attended Muncie City Schools and later married the love of her life, Bruce Huxhold on February 11, 1956 in Muncie and he survives.  Mrs. Huxhold had worked as the Manager for the Britt Restaurant at the Muncie Mall for fifteen years and also cleaned houses prior to her retirement.  She is a member of the Oakville First Brethren Church where she had been involved in women’s ministry, enjoyed gardening, reading and traveling.  Spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren was very precious to her.

Besides her husband of 62 years, Bruce, she is survived by one daughter, Terry Lynn Wills (husband-Bob), New Castle; two sons, Randall Allan Huxhold (wife-Heidi), Muncie and Roger Huxhold (wife-Marla), Indianapolis; six grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three brothers, Earl Mann (wife-Sue), Michael Wayne Morrow (wife-Luann), both of Columbus, Indiana and Edwin Lew Morrow (wife-Donna) Lafayette, IN; one sister, Pat (Morrow)Brown (husband-Dean), Franklin;  several nieces and nephews; special friends, Kay, Kathy, Judy, Joyce, Maxine and Rosie.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Jeremy Wills in 1979.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at the Oakville First Brethren Church located at 320 W. Main St. Oakville, Indiana 47367, with Pastor Joe Hines officiating.  Burial will follow at the Springport Cemetery in Springport, Indiana.

Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Thursday evening, March 8, 2018, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again at the Oakville First Brethren Church on Friday March 9, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
