Judy Kathryn (Hammond) Evans

Judy Kathryn Evans, 69, of Muncie, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her residence with her family by her side.

     She was born February 18, 1948 in Jamestown, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Arie W. and Margie Lee (Watson) Hammond.  Judy was a 1966 graduate of Muncie Southside High School.  She was employed by First Merchants in the data center for 10 years and Ball State University Graduate School for 13 years prior to her retirement.  Judy was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God.  She loved spending time with her family and her grandkids.

     Survivors include her husband, William Evans; daughter, Julie Adams, (husband-Shane), Indianapolis; son, Jason Evans, (wife-Sarah), Corydon, IN; grandson, Coleman Evans; two granddaughters, Ashley Evans and Kaitlyn Adams; sister, Phyllis Collins; two brothers, Roger Hammond, (wife-Carolyn), Muncie; Larry Hammond, Muncie; and several nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Arie and Margie Hammond; sister, Linda Quire; and her sister-in-law, Phyllis Hammond.

     Calling will be held at Parson Mortuary on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Saturday.

     Services will be held at Parson Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 with Rev. Jack R. Anderson and Rev. Kevin Holt officiating.  Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
