Muncie- Kay E. Haase, passed away early Sunday morning, June 30, 2019, at the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on October, 29, 1948 to Herald and Robert Jean (Carmichael) White.
Kay graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1966 and continued her education at Ball State University, IUPUI, and LA Mesa College in Dan Diego, California. She was married to Michael Haase in 1974. He preceded her in death in 1996. Kay lived in California in the early 70’s and 80’s and returned to Indiana to be closer to family. Kay worked briefly as a substitute teacher for Muncie Community Schools and enjoyed being a Mom to her three children. She enjoyed playing the piano and listening to Rock Music from the 70’s. Kay was a very generous person and always wanted to make sure her family and friends were doing ok. She was a resident of Bethel Pointe for the last four years.
Kay is survived by her Daughter, Jasmine Carr (Steve), Genoa City, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren; her sisters Laura White, Indianapolis and sister Nancy Teffeteller, Muncie and brother David White, Gaston and several nieces and nephews including special niece LaShawn Sutton.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sons; Ian and Val Haase, and brother Steve White.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019, 1:00 P.M. at Beech Grove Cemetery with Pastor Linda McBride officiating. Parson Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
