Muncie- Laura E. Jones passed away early Thursday morning, December 14, 2017, at Yorktown Manor after a long well lived life. She was born April 19, 1923, in Greencastle, Indiana, the daughter of John and Ollie (Cash) Wynkoop.
Laura attended schools in Fillmore, Indiana graduating in 1941, and later married Lee Roy Jones in 1943. She had been employed with Boxell Sign Company for several years.
She is survived by two sons, Terry Jones, (companion-Tippi Shaw) Muncie; Thad Jones (wife-Dianna), Muncie; three grandchildren, Barry, Jodi and Chad; eight great-grandchildren with several nieces and nephews.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lee Roy, and two sisters; Gladys and Edna; and one brother Clifford Wynkoop.
Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Wednesday evening, December 20, 2017, 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Private burial will take place later at Elm Ridge Cemetery.
