Lee "Bo" Foster

Lee “Bo” Foster, 85 of Charlestown, Indiana, formally a resident of Glenview, Illinois, passed into the arms of the lord on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville, Indiana following a brief illness. He was born November 29, 1932 to Mitchell and Charity (Miller) Foster in Oneida, Tennessee. Lee was the oldest of six children; a sister Ruby, four brothers; Kenneth, Shelby “Gene”, Hobart, Wayne.

Lee and his family moved to Muncie, Indiana when he was eight years old and he resided in Cowan, Indiana until he enlisted into the United States Army in February 1953. Lee served in the Korean War and was honorably discharged on January 31, 1955.

After leaving the Army, Lee moved to Chicago, Illinois to attend tool and die school. He began working for Kiwi Coders Corp. shortly after, and worked there for 40 plus years, retiring in 1998. Lee enjoyed spending weekends at the lake, fishing and boating with family. After retiring, Lee enjoyed spending winters at this home in Fort Myers, Florida and his summer home on the Ohio River. Lee’s greatest passion was spending time with his family and being a grandpa.

Lee is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sue Foster (Chambers) of Charlestown, one daughter; Samantha Grimm (Chris) of Charlestown, two granddaughters; Molly and Abigail Grimm, one sister; Ruby (Bob) Taylor of Oakville, one brother Wayne (Maria) Foster of Springport, three sister-in-law’s, several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great nephews.

Lee is preceded in death by his parents, a son Gary Foster, 3 brothers; two brother-in-law’s, and 2 sister-in-law’s.

Lee “Bo” was a one of a kind and will be missed by his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Parson Mortuary 801 W. Adams Muncie, Indiana. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 Monday evening April 30, 2018 and from 10 am until the time of service on Tuesday.
