Marilyn J. (Moore) Piercy

                Muncie-Marilyn J. (Moore) Piercy, 81, went to be with her Lord in the presence of her family early Tuesday morning, January 9, 2018, at her residence following an extended illness.  She was born on February 2, 1936 in Muncie, the daughter of William and Virgillia (Strouse) Moore.

                Marilyn attended Muncie city schools and later married the love of her life, Abe on December 31, 1955 in Muncie and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2012.  Mrs. Piercy had worked as an Assistant Foreman for the Midwest Metals and later owned and operated the Marilyn J’s A-1 Cleaning Service for many years prior to her disability.  She was a member of the Old Fashion United Baptist Church, enjoyed bowling and was a big fan of the Muncie Central Bearcats!  Family times with her grandchildren and great grandchildren were very precious to her.

                Survivors include one son, Ron (wife-Sue), Muncie; three granddaughters, Jennifer Roberson (husband-J.D.), Michelle Brower (husband-Darrell) and Jama Clarke (husband-Paulus), all of Muncie; six great grandchildren, Taylor Mason, Courtney Piercy, Kalan Piercy, Jaden Brower, Kayla Roberson, Jadrian Roberson and Zoe Brower; one great great grandson, Steele Mason; two sisters, Jennie Cross (husband-Dude), Grandville and Linda Templin (companion-Jack), Muncie; two brothers, Billy Moore (wife-Mary), Yorktown and Charlie Moore (wife-Jewell), Muncie; three brothers-in-law, Richard Smith, Yorktown, Homer Peercy, Byrdstown, Tennessee and Dean Peercy, Mt. Pleasant; two sister-in-law, Sheila Pecor (husband-George) and Barbara Gibson (husband-Jimmy), both of Jamestown, Tennessee;

                Besides her husband of 57 years, Abe, she is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Eddie Bea, Shirley Smith and Ethel Jones; one brother, Bobby Moore.

                Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018, 1:00P.M. At the Bethel United Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Phipps, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at the Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.  Parson Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.

                Friends may call at the Bethel United Baptist Church 301 N. Eastwood, Muncie, IN 47302 on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until service time.
