Mark W. “Pup” Watt, 58, passed away late Monday evening following a sudden illness. He was born on, June 18, 1960, in Muncie, the son of James and Helen Elizabeth (Hoover) Watt.
Mark is 1978 graduate of Yorktown High School and later married Lora (Robinson) on July 19, 1980 and she survives. Mr. Watt had been a tool and die maker for many years having worked for City Machine Tool and Die for 18 years and most recently Reliance Machine Tool and Die where he was a Supervisor. Mr. Watt is a former member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 321 of Yorktown, had been an avid bowler, played soft ball for several years and enjoyed truck racing with the KBT Association. He also enjoyed doing car restorations and was a member of the Old Car Club. Singing was a passion of Mark’s as well having done Karaoke with Dr. Feel Good when he first came to town. Mostly, Mark treasured time with his family.
Besides his wife of 38 years Lora, he is survived by one son, Matthew (wife-Alexis), Muncie; three grandchildren, Taylor, Letty and Kiyen Watt; one brother, Tony A. Watt (Sherida), Yorktown; one sister, Connie King (husband-Terry), Warren, Michigan; his father, James J. Watt (fiancé-Kay Smith ), Yorktown; five nieces and nephews, Jeremy King (wife- Heather), Shaun King (wife-Ashley), Jessica Coleone (Husband-Mario), Jarod Watt (wife-Kristy) and Aubrey Strait (husband-Jeff).; several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018, 6:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Marty Ballard officiating. Cremation will follow.
Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Friday, August 24, 2018, from 2:00 P.M until time of service. The Watt family would like to invite anyone who owns a classic car or is a member of the Old Car Club to display their automobiles during the visitation and services at Parson Mortuary.
