Mary A. "Sis" (Davis) (Davis) Hisle

Muncie – Mary A. “Sis” (Davis) Hisle, 87, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital.

Mary was born in Jonesville, Kentucky on May 3, 1925, the daughter of William and Ollie (Cammack) Davis, and attended Kentucky Schools.

Mrs. Hisle worked for 30 years at Moore’s Bed Springs. She liked to work jigsaw puzzles, go to yard sales, and loved to garden.

Survivors include a son, Darrell Hisle, (wife-Esther), Maryville, Tennessee; two daughters, Connie Hoover, and Linda Hisle, both of Muncie; a brother, Pat Davis, (wife-Shirley), Selma; two sisters, Gladys Hisle, Muncie, and Louise Woodard, (husband-Wayman), Yorktown; four grandsons, Greg Hoover, (wife-Linsey), Anderson, Travis Hoover, Muncie, Doug Hoover, (wife-Dawn), Muncie, and Kevin Hisle, (wife-Jaci), Lake Villa, Illinois; a granddaughter, Becky Haupt, Maryville, Tennessee; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, James D. Hisle Jr.; four sisters; two brothers; and a great-grandson, Kaleb Hoover.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Dan Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at Parson Mortuary one hour prior to time of service on Friday.
