Rita Ann Brown

Rita Brown, 61, Muncie, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

     She was born June 3, 1956 in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of the late Harold and Betty (Alexander) Brown.  Rita was a 1974 graduate of Cowan High School and spent most of her years working in childcare.  She was a member of Community Fellowship Foursquare Church and she enjoyed watching Cowan High School basketball games.

     She is survived by two sisters, Connie Green (husband Leslie) and Donna Shipp (husband James); three nephews, James Shipp (wife Amber), Justin Shipp, and David Green; two nieces, Courtney Shipp and Karen Green; great-nephew, Jaimen Stewart (companion Gracye); great-great-niece, Arianna Stewart; and special friends, Sunni Matters (husband Cory) and their children, Trayson, Jase, and Corsun.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Betty Brown.

     A celebration of life service will be held at Community Fellowship Church, 2408 N. Oakwood Ave., Muncie, Indiana at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 with Pastor Jim Wray officiating.
