Robert "Bob" A. Meranda

                Muncie-Robert “Bob” A. Meranda, 47, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 5, 2017, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  He was born on May 1, 1970, in Muncie, the son of Dennis and Joan (Rinker) Meranda. 

                Bob attended Muncie city schools and later married the love of his life, Amy (Christal) Meranda on June 21, 1997 in Muncie and she survives.  Mr. Meranda had worked as a Landscaper for A Preferred Lawn Care for approximately 15 years prior to his disability in 1997.    He enjoyed shooting guns, cooking especially grilling and being a jokester.  Spending time with his children and other family members was very precious to him.

                Besides his wife of  20 years, Amy, he is survived by one son, Jeremiah Simmons (Fiancé’-Erin Wildermuth), Muncie; one daughter, Bethany Meranda, Muncie; one granddaughter, Maci Jo Simmons, Muncie; His mother, Joan Meranda, Yorktown; his father, Dennis Meranda (wife-Stella), Muncie; one brother, Denny Meranda, Sarasota, Florida; two sisters, Anissa Bilbrey-Hatchitt, Charleston, South Carolina and Katheryn Livingston (husband-Troy), Beaufort, South Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

                Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Carl Lamb officiating.  Burial will follow at the Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.

                Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 12:00 P.M. until service time.
