Roger L. Coats

We are poorer for the loss of Roger Lawrence Coats, who died at age 69 at his home on Monday November 12, 2018 in Muncie, Indiana. He was born to Charles and Mary Coats on February 22, 1949 in Burlington, Iowa, and raised in Muncie.

During the Vietnam War, Roger served in the United States Marine Corps, and later served in the United States Army during Operation Desert Storm.

Roger is survived by his son, Michael, and his daughter, Angela, as well as two grandchildren, Caitlin and Owen. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Marsha (Evans) Coats.

A celebration of life will be held for Roger at the Parson Mortuary on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Friends may call from 12 noon until the time of service.
