Rondal Elihue Puckett

Muncie- Rondal Elihue Puckett ,85, beloved father of Randy, Rhonda, and Rory passed away Monday afternoon, November 13, 2017, after a short illness.  He was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 63 years Rose Marie, his mother Lula Withers, and his father Elihue Puckett.  Ron was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Muncie, IN where he resided.

Ron served his country with honor in the Air Force during the Korean War.  Ron and Rose were married in 1954 at St. Bonifice Parish in Piqua, Ohio. He worked at the Dayton-Walther Corporation for 37 years until his retirement in 1987 when he and Rose became permanent residents of Muncie, IN.

Ron was a graduate of the University of Dayton and also obtained his pilot’s license.  Flying was a passion of his for many years.  He enjoyed the extensive traveling he shared with Rose including visiting family members scattered across various states.  He especially enjoyed the time he spent flying with his grandchildren as passengers.  Ron will always be remembered for his devotion to his family and his love for his wife Rose.

Ron is survived by two sons, Randolph Puckett, Muncie, IN, and Rory Puckett (wife-Lorie), Ft Wayne, IN, his daughter Rhonda Ehmer (husband-Richard) Cape Coral Florida, eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at Parsons Mortuary, 801 W Adams St Muncie, IN 47305 on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 1200 W Riverside, Muncie IN 47303 on Thursday, November 16, 2017, 10:00 A.M.  With Rev. Brian Doerr officiating.  Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery 1625 Calvary Ave, Dayton, OH 45409 at 2:30 P.M.
