Russell Allen Rhamey

Muncie: Russell A. Rhamey Passed away on Saturday May 26, 2018 at his residence. Russell was born on  December 29, 1943 to Harvey and Kathryn (Lylera) Rhamey.

Mr. Rhamey attended schools at Muncie Community School. He worked for Westinghouse (ABB), for more than 40 years serving as Steward and then President of the union as they closed. He was a member of the American Legion, The Eagles Lodge of Muncie and the V.F.W. Russell enjoyed fishing, hunting and his trips to the Casino.

Russell is survived by his children; two sons; Victor Rhamey, Mentone Indiana, Scott Burke, Muncie, three daughters; Beverly Fenix (Ray), Warsaw Indiana, Debbie Shepherd of Winder Georgia, and Stephanie Jones of Muncie, the Family would like to thank sister Carolyn Taylor of Eaton and nephew Ricky Cooper Jr. for being caregivers as Russell’s life closed, and Ruth Griffith of Knox Indiana. Russell had many Nieces and Nephews and was blessed with 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Russell is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Tammi McClanahan (Addie), two brothers John and Gene, two sisters; Rosemary (Rosie), Rita, and a son in law Danny Shepherd.

A funeral service for Russell will be held on Friday June 1, 2018 at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Gary McManus  officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 AM  until the time of services on Friday. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
