Teddy C. Ray

Teddy C. Ray, 85, passed away on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born to Theodore and Louisa Lancaster Boles on October 1, 1933 in Wilder, Tennessee.

They moved to Muncie, Indiana at a young age. There she met and married Edward P. Ray. They were married for 47 years before his death in February 1995. Together they had 5 children. She was active in church, bowling, loved to read and was a very people person. Teddy always wanted to help others and always put everyone else’s needs above her own.

Teddy is survived by her 2 sons; Edward Ray (Jenny), Randy Ray, two daughters; Ellen Ray and Cindy Zimmerman (Jerry), 3 grandchildren; Robert Ray (Jodi), Jodi Brown and Dawn Ray, 4 great grandchildren; Jason Brown, Leila Ray, Noah and Hannah Ray, a sister; Neva Taylor (Larry), several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Teddy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward Ray, a son; John Ray, 2 grandsons; Nicholas Alan Ray, Jason Brown, 3 sisters; Vivian Satterfield, Sybil Haviland and Katherine Bowerman.

A funeral service for Teddy will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Parson Mortuary at 12 noon. Friends may call from 11 am until the time of service on Saturday. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family would like to thank everyone at Signature Health Care for the exceptional care they gave Teddy for many years.
