Veta "Sue" Hooker

Veta “Sue” Hooker, 78, passed away on Thursday August 2, 2018 at The Golden Living Center. She was born on March 22, 1940 to Louise McKinley in Pickett County Tennessee.

Sue graduated from Pickett County High School. She loved working for the Auditors office in Lexington South Carolina. Sue worked there until retirement and then she moved to Muncie.

Sue will be sadly missed by so many. She was a very loving and caring person who never meet a stranger. She was a mother to everyone and her door was always open. She was a great listener. Joy and laughter followed her everywhere. Sue was the best baker, she loved having family and friends gathered around her table. She bravely fought Alzheimer’s and never forgot her family.

Sue is survived by two daughters; Tari Bruner (Dennis) of Muncie, Shanda Miller (Tom) of South Carolina, two sisters; Linda Girga of California, Janet Brooks (Greg), a brother; Russell Rowe (Vickie), 4 grandchildren; Tara, Brandon, Whitney and Ashley, 4 great grandchildren; Ethan, Macen, Parker and Lainee, several nieces, nephews, great nephews and cousins.

Sue is preceded in death by her mother and 3 aunts.

The family would like to send special thanks to the staff of The Golden Living Center, for their love and care of Sue. The family has requested that donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 50 E. 91st St# 100 Indianapolis Indiana 46240.
