Virginia Louise (Staggs) Stinson

Virginia Louise Stinson, 81, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019 at the emergency room of Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.  She was born on July 6, 1938 in Winchester, the daughter of James and Clara Staggs.

Virginia graduated from Winchester High School and later married the love of her life Joe Riley and later worked for Ball State University first as a Custodian and later as a Cook for approximately 12 years.  She was a member of the Eastern Star Glasgow Lodge #257 and the Covenant Partners Church.  She enjoyed going to church and socializing with friends and family in restaurants.  Spending time with her granddaughter was very precious to her.        

Survivors include one daughter, Tina Strong (husband-Kevin Sr.), Muncie; 3 grandchildren, Kora Meeks, Kevin Strong, Jr. and Mikea Strong; 1 great granddaughter, Harmony Meeks.

She is preceded in death by 4 children, Frank, Ellis, Michael and Angela Stinson; her parents; 1 brother, James Staggs.

Cremation is taking place.   A private family memorial celebration will take place at a later date.
