William "Woody" Bright

William "Woody" M. Bright, 73, of Muncie, Indiana passed away at IU Ball Memorial Hospital on October 17, 2017 after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving wife and many family members and friends. Woody was born in Hillsboro, Illinois on April 20, 1944. He worked at Chevrolet in Muncie and retired after 40 years of faithful service.

Woody was a member of the Eagles Lodge, the Elks Lodge, and the brotherhood of Mason's Delaware Lodge #46. He loved playing poker at the Eagles Lodge and also in family poker nights. He also especially loved spending time with his grandson Michael playing basketball in the driveway. He enjoyed watching football, basketball, and he loved camping, and being outdoors as well.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Thomas and Helen Bright, as well as three sisters, Jeannine Collins, Sharon West, Linda Lane, as well as one brother, Larry Bright. Woody and his wife of 49 years, Anna M. Bright, raised five children, Jeffery Bright (wife, Chrissy) of Tennessee, Jerry Bright (deceased), Gary Bright (deceased), Jennifer Love (husband, Jasen) of Florida, and Michelle Hornback (husband, Mike) of Muncie.

In addition, Woody also is survived by many grandchildren: Michael Hornback II, Stephanie Paul, Mya Love, Ava Love, Jerry Bright Jr., Derrick Bright, Jared Bright, as well as several great-grandchildren. The newest great-grandchild, Adrienne Hornback, lit up his life and brought him great newfound joy, and another great-granddaughter, Stella Paul, is absolutely adorable.  May God bless you Woody, and may you finally have peace and freedom from pain which you so richly deserve, as you rejoice with both of your sons in heaven. You will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.

Calling will be at Parson Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017.  Funeral services will be immediately following at 12:00 noon with Pastor Glenn Greiner officiating.  Burial will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery.
