Avonell "Jenny" Bowlin, 72, left this life Thursday afternoon, December 21, 2023, following a brief illness at the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Emergency Room.  She was born on December 17, 1951, in Morehead, Kentucky the daughter of Arnold Eugene and Thelma Jewell (Plank) Little.

Avonell had married the love of her life, Jimmy Bowlin, in 1984 and he preceded her in death in 2001.  Mrs. Bowlin had worked as a housekeeper/ custodian in various Muncie areas.   She enjoyed shopping and decorating and was known to be stubborn at times but she also appreciated people and never knew a stranger.

Survivors include one daughter, Tammy Collins, Muncie; four grandchildren, Zachary Syphers (Amanda), James Corbin (Leslie), and Amber Ring (Tyler), all of Muncie and Christopher Corbin (Fiancé'- Victoria), Yorktown; one great-granddaughter, Ava; one brother, Ronnie Little, farmland; one sister, Debra Steinhall (Bob), Muncie; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband of 17 years, Jimmy, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Wright in 2016; her parents; one brother, Donnie Little and one sister, Diane Rose Little.

Cremation has been chosen with a private family gathering at a later date.    Parson Mortuary Cremation Center is entrusted with these arrangements.
