Barbara Ann Buck, 76, passed away on July 29, 2026, at IU Ball Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.  Barbara was born on July 17, 1950, in Princeton, Indiana, the daughter of Thomas and Imogene (Thompson).

Following graduation from Yorktown High School, Barbara went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Education.  She worked as a teacher, but most of her adult life she was a homemaker.  She enjoyed listening to classic rock, especially Led Zeppelin.  Barbara was an absolute basketball fanatic!  She loved following all levels of basketball, including high school, college, and pro.  She didn't have a single favorite team; instead, she would cheer them all on.

The biggest joy in her life was her family.  Barbara loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She always had time for them and showered them with love and encouragement.

Left to cherish the memory of Barbara are her children, Nathan Buck (Cari), Marinda Carpenter, and grandchildren Dane Buck, Carson Millspaugh, and Michael and Madelyn Carpenter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of forty-five years, Danny Lee Buck.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams, Muncie, Indiana.  Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the day of the service.
