Barbara (Harmeyer) Garrett, 76, passed away on Thursday morning March 10, 2022 at her residence. She was born on Friday April 6, 1945 to Wilber and Bertha (Hildabrand) Harmeyer in Muncie, Indiana. Barbara was part of the first graduating class of Muncie Southside High School in 1963 and later married the love of her life Thomas Garrett on June 10, 1963.  Barbara survived her husband Thomas  who passed on April 2, 2019. Barbara worked with Thomas as a partner in the construction trade.

Barbara is survived by her children Jeffrey (husband-David Franklin) Garrett, Brenda (husband-Kenneth Jr.) Eldridge, Troy Garrett; four grandchildren Chelsea (Anthony) Jarnagin, Thomas (Carly Fisher) Garrett, Tyler Eldridge, Kayla (Jayden) Davidson, and  great-grandchild Elena Jarnagin.

Barbara's parents; husband of 56 years Thomas; daughter-in-law Glenda Garrett in 2007 and 9 siblings  preceded her in passing.

Funeral will be held at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center on Tuesday March 15, 2022 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Glenn Greiner officiating. Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery South of Muncie. Friends may call from 11:30 am until the start of the service.
