Betty Louise Morris, 97, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at her residence following an extended illness.  She was born November 19, 1925, in Jamestown, Tennessee the daughter of James Wesley and Nancy Ann (Terry) Crabtree.

Betty had attended the York Institute and later married her first husband, James Beaty, and moved to Muncie in 1952.   He had preceded her in death in 1978 and later she remarried her second husband Virgil Morris and who preceded her in death in 1995.  Mrs. Morris had worked for the Woodlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in Muncie for approximately 5 years prior to her retirement in 1983.  She was a Charter member of the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include three children, Freida Hargis, and Linda Morris both of Muncie and Gene Beaty, Bloomington; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and,  great, great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husbands James and Virgil, she was preceded in death by 1 son, Earl Beaty;2 daughters, Ruth Warren and Jennifer Tracy; 1 granddaughter, Regina Beaty; her parents; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Parson Mortuary with Pastor James Oliver McCowan officiating.  Parson Mortuary is entrusted with the local arrangements.  Friends may call Parson Mortuary on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 11:30 A.M. until the time of service. Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at the Terry Cemetery in Jamestown, Tennessee Mundy Funeral Home to be entrusted with the Jamestown arrangements.
