Bill D. Arnold, 92, left this life early Saturday morning, January 6, 2023, at his residence following a brief illness. He was born on April 18, 1930, in Muncie the son of Frank J. and Goldie (O'Donnell) Arnold.

Bill graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1948 and later enlisted in the U.S. Airforce where he honorably served as an Atomic bomb Tech and Crew Leader for 10yrs prior to his discharge in 1958. Mr. Arnold had worked for Westinghouse as an Assembler in the Transformer Dept. for 19 years. He then became a stock person for Target for approximately 5 years before retiring. Bill married Dana (Sims) Arnold on April 27, 1979, in Jellico, Tennessee and she survives. Mr. Arnold enjoyed going to the Indy 500 race and following Ball State University sports of all kinds, especially the football and basketball programs.

Besides his wife of 43 years, Dana, he is also survived by one son, Brett Arnold (Gaytha); two stepchildren, Lora Mitchener (John Dorer) and Dwayne Slaven (Sunday); 5 grandchildren, Brody, Libby, Alex, Tyler, and Lance, and 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant daughter, Laura Arnold; one brother, Joseph Arnold; Former Spouse Myra Neeley who passed November 22, 2021.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Neil Kring officiating. Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery. Military Honors will be rendered by the Delaware County Honor Guard.

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on January 11, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and again from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Memorial contributions may be made to Ball Memorial Hospital Cancer Center 2401 W. University Ave. Muncie, IN 47303.
