Brucelle Long, 101, went to her heavenly home early Tuesday morning, July 11, 2023, at the Bethel Point Health and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness.  She was born on May 8, 1922, in Gaston, the daughter of William L. and Blanche (Shipley) Finley.

Brucelle had graduated from the Harrison Township High School in 1940 and later married the love of her life, Arthur T. Long on May 21, 1944, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 2000.  Mrs. Long had been a homemaker and a terrific seamstress.  She had attended the Full Gospel Temple where she enjoyed helping in the children's ministry.  She had also worked with children from other churches she had been associated with.  Spending time with her family and doing church-related activities were very important to her.  Mrs. Long had been crowned the Queen of the Valentine activity at the health care center last year and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  It was said of her "She oozed Jesus".

Survivors include 2 daughters, Linda Long and Sandra Brobst (Don), both of Muncie; 4 grandchildren, Rick Brobst (Patty), Jeff Brobst (Donna), Angie Brobst-Butler (Kevin) and Bradley Wilson (Christina); 4 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, her twin, Marcelle Hatton, Fortville, Norma Jane Luzadder, Gaston and Wanda Fink, Muncie; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband of 56 years, Arthur, she was preceded by a daughter, Peggy Wilson, and, 2 siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at 2:00 P.M.  at Parson Mortuary.  Private family burial at Eaton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 12:30 P.M. until the time of service.
