In Loving Memory of Carl Matthew Caster

Carl Matthew Caster was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence will forever be missed by the many people who loved him.

Carl shared 25 years of marriage with his wife, Cassie Stevens. Together, they built a family and shared a lifetime of memories. He was a proud father to Blake Caster and Taylor (Jacob Sampsel) Caster from a previous marriage, and to the son he shared with Cassie, Damien Caster.

Carl's heart extended beyond his own children. He loved his stepchildren, Ashley Cast Byrd (Anthony Byrd), Willie Cast (Kayla Rucker), and Dennis Stevens (Josie Stevens), as his own.

He was a proud grandfather to Kaidyn Stevens, Trinity Stevens, Oliver Cast, and Amalia Cast. He also looked forward to welcoming his unborn granddaughter, Magnolia Byrd, who is expected to arrive early next year. His youngest grandson, Malakai Walker, held an especially special place in his heart. Malakai was not only his grandson but also his best friend. Their bond was one of a kind, and the memories and love they shared will live on forever.

Carl leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Cassie, his children and stepchildren, his grandchildren, including his soon-to-arrive granddaughter Magnolia, his two sisters, Carrie Cass and Annie Bentley, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Those who preceded Carl in death include:

From Cassie's family: Joyce Mazur, Thomas Mazur, and grandson Christopher Lee.

From Carl's family: his mother, Thena Caster; his father, William Caster; his brothers, Billie Caster, Patrick Caster, and Bobby Caster; and his sister, Katie Coop.

Carl had a personality and interests all his own. He was a devoted fan of the Indianapolis Colts and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. He enjoyed drawing, tattoos, and playing darts. These were some of the things that made him uniquely Carl.

Carl was more than the titles he carried. He was a husband, a dad, a grandfather, a brother, an uncle, and a friend. He was part of so many lives and created memories that will live on through the people he leaves behind.

Though he may no longer be with us, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the lives he touched will remain forever.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
